101 animals were given attention during the Spay and Neuter Caravan held on September 25, 2019, at the City Veterinary Office in Bayawan City.
57 dogs were successfully neutered and 44 cats were spayed. There was also free consultation on livestock during the said activity.
The event was joined by a group of veterinarians from the Philippine Veterinary Medical Associations led by Dr. Harris Constantino. The event was sponsored by the City Veterinary Office led by Dr. Saturnino Dayanan along with several Bayawanons who also participated in the event.
According to Dr. Constantino, the activity was important because it is one of the ways to reduce the population of unattended animals.
The newly assigned City Veterinarian of Bayawan also thanked the people who supported the said activity.
The Spay and Neuter Caravan is in line with The World Rabies Day 2019 celebration.
