As part of the activities for Tourism Month Celebration (last September), the LGU, through the Tourism Office conducted the 2nd Ibayaw Film Competition showcasing Bayawan's core values and attractions.
The aim is to expose Bayawanons to the film industry as well as to enhance their filmmaking skills so they could compete not just locally, but also in national or even international film festivals.
Winners were revealed last October 1, 2019, at the BCC Function Hall. The said event was participated by the skilled and very talented students and school heads of the different schools of the City.
Hon. Rolando Abrasaldo, the Committee chairperson on Tourism, Culture, and Special Events delivered the welcome message. He emphasized how film can be a great tool to promote the attractions and culture of Bayawan.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS to all of the participants and awardees! Thank you for sharing your talents. You're all indeed winners!
